Samia Perkins is a Certified Technical Writer.  She graduated from San Jose State University Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Minor in Mathematics.  In additional she acquired a Technical Writing and Communications Certificate from San Jose State. This certificate included training in web design and HTML coding.

Samia worked as a technical writer at Hospira Inc., formerly Abbott Labs Hospital Products Division, where she developed and wrote technical service manuals for a new products, created technical service bulletins, updated existing technical service manuals for style and content, researched technical information and interviewed subject matter experts to prepare manuals, and edited technical service manuals.

Since leaving Hospira, Samia has started a freelance business designing websites, creating and editing documentation, and running an online store for a guitar shop.

Samia is married, and has one child, Cary Irene, who was born in October of 2005.
